Kingdom ColdTop 5 Fictional Characters I’d Marry – A Kingdom Cold Blog Tour

The Kingdom Cold series by Brittni Chenelle should be on your TBR ASAP. You can now get all three books in the series and binge-read them to your heart’s content. Just look at the cover, it’s absolutely gorgeous.

This blog tour is a little different than the others I’ve taken part in. This is only a creative post, no review this time. I was supposed to have an author interview up as well but unfortunately, the university has been keeping me so busy, I forget to send in my questions. So instead I will just be doing a creative post and photo.

Here we go!

Author Information

Brittni Chenelle currently lives in Seoul, Korea, which inspires her multicultural fantasy books. Her favourite genres to read and write are young adult fantasy, young adult romance, fairytale retellings, and young adult dystopian novels. She’s very passionate about equal representation and makes a point to include characters from different backgrounds and cultures in her fantasy stories. Here are five fun facts about Brittni:

  1. She lives in South Korea. It’s true. She does most of her updates in the morning or at night to account for the time difference. She also infuses most of her novels with her observations about Korean culture.
  2. She’s a Type 1 Diabetic. She uses an insulin pump for survival and refers to her diabetes as “Beetie” which is what inspired her children’s book “Life with Beetie”. When she wants something from her parents she tells them, “My Beetie hurts.” It’s a trick that has never failed her.
  3. She doesn’t really BELIEVE in fiction. Despite all the; Dragons, Elves, and Magic present in her novel “Involuted the Tale of the Red Ribbon Tree”, Brittni INSISTS that it’s a true story.
  4. She’s OBSESSED with dark chocolate. She made me put that in and would also like me to inform you (on an unrelated note) that her birthday is in May.
  5. Sorry guys, she’s married. If you ask her, she’ll tell you her husband saved her life but every time someone asks “how?” she gives a different reason. I’ve overheard her give about 4 different reasons, but I bet she has more. He must be an amazing guy.

Top 5 Fictional Characters I’d Marry

So in honour of Kingdom Cold’s arranged marriage, I went and thought about all the fictional characters I wouldn’t mind marrying. I’d just like to throw in a bit of a disclaimer here: I do not support or condone arranged marriages. This post is just for FUN and these characters are FICTIONAL.

Also, be warned, three out of the five are from the Grishaverse. I couldn’t help myself.

5. Prince Young – Kingdom Cold

Is there any trope I love more than enemies to lovers? Nope. Prince Young is the perfect guy. He’s kind and honourable and would do anything for his Kingdom. That makes him a win in my book.

4. The Darkling – The Girshaverse

You saw this coming. We all been knew. I haven’t exactly been hiding the fact that The Darkling is one of my favourite characters. Aleksander Morozova can cut me in half and I’d thank him. I know he’s technically the bad guy, but come on. We all love him.

3. Thomas Cresswell – Stalking Jack the Ripper

My love for this series is also well known. Thomas Cresswell is the perfect gentleman. I love his wit, charm and sarcastic comments. He reminds us all of Sherlock Holmes and the world collectively swoons when he’s wooing Audrey Rose Wadsworth. Yes, please.

2. Nina Zenik – Six of Crows/ King of Scars

Okay look, I’d marry any of the Dregs in a heartbeat. In fact, I’d marry anyone in the Grishaverse in a heartbeat. This is not new information. But I had to narrow this list down to five people. I was between Nina and Zoya but chose Nina for the fact that I loved her character arc in KoS. I loved Zoya’s too, don’t get me wrong. Zoya is one of my favourite characters in KoS. But Nina’s pain was something I could relate to, so I chose her. I cannot wait to see how her story plays out.

1. Kaz Brekker – Six of Crows

How could I not put him first? He’s my all-time favourite character and I would literally die for this man. That is all.

There you have it! Picking 5 characters was really hard, but I managed. Which fictional character would you love to marry?
